EXPERIENCE
Indigo Vat • Dabu Resist • Natural Pigment • Shibori • Jahota Print
TIME
9AM- 3PM
About this workshop
You begin with a walking tour of Bagru's printing quarter, Chippo ka Mohalla, then set up the indigo vat you'll tend for the rest of the week.
Each day adds a technique: dabu mud resist, siyahi and begar printing, natural pigments like kashish and pomegranate, shibori tie-dye, and a final-day visit to Jahota village for jahote printing.
By the end you'll have worked every stage of the craft yourself, from vat chemistry to final wash, with Govind ji as your mentor throughout.
