Week Long Immersion

Immerse yourself in the living textile traditions of Bagru through a hands-on workshop rooted in craft, colour, and local knowledge.

Over the course of the workshop, you’ll explore traditional Bagru printing, natural indigo dyeing, mud-resist techniques, natural pigments, shibori, and other regional processes. Along the way, you’ll learn directly from experienced artisans and gain an understanding of the materials, techniques, and time that shape each textile.

The experience also includes a visit to Jahota village, offering an opportunity to discover another traditional printing practice and meet local makers.

A Week of Making

The workshop unfolds gradually, allowing you to experience the different stages of textile making—from preparing materials and creating colour to printing, dyeing, washing, and finishing.

Each day introduces a new aspect of the craft, while giving you time to work with your hands, ask questions, and understand the knowledge behind these traditions.
