Head into the village to discover Bagru's vibrant textile-producing areas.

Visit traditional block carving, dyeing and printing workshops and see the different stages involved in creating a hand-printed textile, from carving the wooden blocks and preparing the colours to printing, washing and drying the fabric.

This is your opportunity to see the craft in its natural setting and meet some of the people who continue these traditions today.

2. Meet the Artisans & Learn the Craft

Learn about the craft, the artisans and the traditions that have been passed down through generations. Then experienced artisans will introduce you to the tools and techniques of traditional hand block printing.

Watch a live demonstration and learn how to handle the wooden blocks, apply colour, align each print and build patterns through repeated stamping while a warm cup of masala chai.

4. Get Hands-On

Now it's your turn.

Begin with a short practice session to get comfortable with the blocks, colours and printing technique. Once you're ready, choose your favourite design and start creating.

Our artisans will guide you throughout, so no previous experience is needed.
